Hi.  Thanks for checking out my website.  As a retired interior designer, I am accustomed to using color, form, pattern, and other elements of design to create healing environments. 

 

Several years ago, I started taking a variety of art classes, and found that the encaustic medium was full of opportunities to experiment and incorporate a multitude of other media and techniques. Part of the beauty of the medium is the ability to rework, melt, scrape, and add layers. I delight in finding unexpected beauty in everyday objects. A few years ago I also started working with cold wax and oil, which provides a new experience with different textures and layering techniques.  As I get further away from a structured business environment, my work has been evolving to become more intuitive and abstract.
